North by Northwest brand on Washington terroir was created in 2005 by the Oregon winery, King Estate, the largest certified biodynamic vineyard in North America with 1,033 acres in production. The winery’s current winemaker is Brent Stone who joined King Estate in 2011 and became head winemaker in 2016. He received his formal training in enology at Washington State University and completed graduate work in agricultural food and life sciences at the University of Arkansas in 2018.
